Guitar lessons can take many different forms partly because of the many different styles the guitar is capable of. Moreover, many guitar players are either self-taught or took music lessons from someone who is. For generations, guitar lessons have taken the shape of the teacher, and there have been very few “standard approaches.”
Anyone can learn how to play the guitar by themselves. This is true and a lot of people have already done it successfully. However, taking guitar lessons with a comprehensive approach can produce a more skilled musician. Through proper technique taught in lessons, people can learn and improve faster, allowing them to become better musicians much quicker.
